Giulio Tremonti |
Why
wTremonti.com?
wTremonti.com is an "instant site"
created to express support and affection to a great man, Giulio
Tremonti, after he was "expelled" in the night between
the 2nd and the 3rd of July 2004. In fact, he "had" to resign
due to the "raison d'État". This episode is particularly
worrying because it is a clear signal of Berlusconi's government weakening
reformist and "liberal-revolutionary"
resolve. We were so impressed by this unexpected event that we felt
a strong desire to speak up and engage ourselves in supporting those
values and that political approach so well embodied by Giulio Tremonti.
We decided to create and promote an online space where whoever has
got similar beliefs and feels the same urge to "do something",
can find a comfortable harbour of refuge and a stimulating, free place
of debate.
Who
are the promoters of this site?
This site is promoted by Pressione.Nord.Liberale/2006,
a group established in order to let the Government hear the liberal
voice of the North. After the "Tremonti's affaire",
we would like Silvio Berlusconi to realize that he is not alone, that
the "Northern Axis" is still strong, that in the most dynamic
and developed part of the country there is a kind of "civil society"
completely different than the one made famous by the radical left-wing
"Jacobin" groups, fake cryptocommunist "liberals",
failed and nostalgic revolutionaries from the '60s and the '70s, now
retired school teachers who believe they can be young again if they
fight the "power" of "evil" Silvio Berlusconi
and his liberist-liberal program.
2006 is our goal: we want liberal ideas
and opinions to prevail within the "Casa delle libertà"
government coalition, considering that 2006 Political Polls are in
view. We want to support those men and women with a strong reformist
and liberal-revolutionary position.
We are bound to fight those ungrateful
little men who, within the government coalition, represent the clientelistic
way to manage public resources: political favours at public
expense in exchange for votes from the South, the old way Italy was
ruled for some 50 years by the majority of Christian Democrats, often
supported by the State-worshippers Communists.
Which
are your goals?
Our first, simple goal is to gather a lot of messages to support
and encourage Giulio Tremonti. Soon we are going to publish
a new web site, Pressione.Nord.Liberale/2006 (www.pressionenordliberale.com),
a rich online magazine where you will find our group's cultural "manifesto",
discussion forums, articles and comments, reviews of books, TV programs
and web sites and a lot of political gossip. We would also like to
promote "offline" events and projects such as public meetings,
merchandise lines, papers and so on.
Who
stays behind you?
Karl Popper said to beware of people indulging in "conspiracy
theories of society". Not a very successful teaching,
especially in Italy.
We will make it very clear. "Behind" wTremonti.com and Pressione.Nord.Liberale/2006
there are no "Big Brothers", nor there are strange lobbies
or mysterious powers. Instead, our project originated in the most
natural and unexpected way from a group of people feeling the urge
to "do something" and spread the word effectively thanks
to the power of the Web.
The promoters of this site, who of
course have clear and well recognizable opinions about society and
politics, are not connected in any
way with parties, clubs, political or governative organizations, nor
they were asked to start this project by Mr Tremonti, Mr Berlusconi
or by people connected to them in some way. Communists and their post-Christian-Democrat
friends are warned: we are a group of free people.
But
do you like any opinion leader?
Of course we do, we are not aspiring to "autoreferentiality".
In the fields of journalism and culture we like those open-minded
opinion leaders who bravely defend their position, express their ideas
with a clear, original style and do not fear to speak against their
party, when necessary.
Here are some examples. Giuliano Ferrara,
don Gianni Baget Bozzo, Vittorio Sgarbi,
Paolo Guzzanti, Vittorio Feltri,
Maurizio Belpietro, Giordano Bruno
Guerri, Mario Giordano, Paolo
Liguori, Carlo Rossella,
Alessandro Cecchi Paone and also Oriana
Fallaci, Magdi Allam,
Edward Luttwak, Oscar Giannino,
the former Italian president Francesco "gattosardo" Cossiga
(!) and many others. Last but not least, thanks to Roberto D'Agostino
for the incredible amount of information and political gossip he gives
to us daily through his famous web site, dagospia.com.
What
can we do now, practically?
You can show your support to Giulio Tremonti by posting a message
into our "instant
guestbook".
You may also write
to us if you want to support our project, Pressione.Nord.Liberale/2006,
and become a member of this group. You will not be asked anything
else but a strong liberal belief.
Read
here if you have malicious intentions
In order to publish your messages, you will have to confirm them by
clicking the link contained in the email that is automatically sent
to you every time you submit the guestbook form: this is a "double
opt-in" process against the abuse of fake email addresses.
If you have malicious intentions, you
are a communist or a right-winged "statalista" (that is,
you worship the Power of the State and think it is much more important
than the individual citizens) and you are going to use this space
as a way to spew your venom, we inform you that your IP address will
be recorded in order to make it easier to track you down! Thank you!
